Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EduPilot web portal, Parent App and Teacher App (the "Services"), operated by EduPilot Technologies Inc.. By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services on behalf of a school, the school's service agreement with us also applies and prevails where it conflicts with these Terms.

2. Accounts

  • Accounts are provisioned through your school. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify your school or us immediately of any unauthorized use.
  • Accounts are for adults (parents/guardians and school staff). Children may not register or operate accounts.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of school policies;
  • upload content that is abusive, harassing, obscene, discriminatory, or that endangers a child's safety or privacy;
  • attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the Services, or reverse-engineer the software;
  • use automated means to scrape or bulk-download data.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and where content endangers a child we will act in accordance with our Child Safety Standards.

4. Content

You (or your Institution) retain ownership of content submitted to the Services. You grant us a limited license to host, process and display that content solely to operate the Services. We own the software, design and branding of the Services; no rights are granted except as needed to use the Services.

5. Fees & Subscriptions

The Services are provided to Institutions under paid subscription agreements. Fees payable by parents through the app (e.g. school fees) are set by, and paid to, the Institution; payment processing is handled by third-party gateways subject to their terms. The apps are free to download.

6. Availability & Changes

We target 99.9% availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, update or discontinue features with reasonable notice to Institutions. We may suspend the Services for maintenance or security reasons.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EduPilot Technologies Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amounts paid for the Services by the applicable Institution in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 100 for users who have not paid us directly.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Services and request account deletion at any time (see Account & Data Deletion). Access tied to your Institution ends when the Institution's agreement ends or when the Institution deactivates your account.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Travis County, Texas, unless a mandatory law in your country provides otherwise.
