Child Safety Standards

KinderLynk is a school communication app provided by Codenius Tech. Children's safety is central to how it is designed. This page describes our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and how we keep children safe. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Zero tolerance

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAM) and for any conduct that sexually exploits, endangers or grooms a child. Such content or conduct is prohibited, will lead to immediate removal and loss of access, and will be reported to the authorities.

How KinderLynk is designed to protect children

  • School-controlled accounts. Every account is created by a school. There is no public sign-up.
  • No contact with strangers. People outside the school community cannot find, contact or message children through the app.
  • No public profiles or public content. Nothing in KinderLynk is publicly visible or shareable.
  • Messaging only within a school. Messages are possible only between members of the same school, such as parents and teachers.
  • Moderation by school administrators. School administrators oversee their school's users and content and can remove access.
  • Role-based access and separation. People see only what their role allows, and each school's data is kept separate.
  • Controlled gate and camera features. Pick and Drop photos and live CCTV are visible only to authorised people at the school; parents see only cameras for their child's branch or class.
  • No ads and no selling of data. We show no advertising and do not sell personal data.

Report a concern

If you see content or behaviour that puts a child at risk, tell us right away at support@kinderlynk.com. Please include the school name, the account involved and a description of what happened. Do not forward any illegal imagery to us; describe it instead, and report it to the authorities. You can also tell your school administrator. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the national child helpline (1098 in India).

Our response commitment

  • We review reports promptly, and treat reports involving a child's safety as the highest priority.
  • We can suspend or remove accounts and content while we investigate, and we work with the school concerned.
  • We keep reports confidential to the extent the law allows and do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith.

Cooperation with law enforcement and mandatory reporting

We cooperate with law enforcement and child protection authorities. Where we become aware of child sexual abuse or exploitation, we will report it as required by India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and other applicable law, and we will preserve relevant information as the law requires. Under POCSO, knowing of such an offence and failing to report it is itself an offence, and we expect schools and users to report too.
