Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your KinderLynk account at any time. This page explains how, what is removed, what the school keeps, and how long it takes. The app is provided by Codenius Tech. See also our Privacy Policy.

How to delete your account

Option 1: in the app

1. Open KinderLynk and sign in.
2. Go to Account → Account Actions → Delete Account.
3. Confirm when asked.

Option 2: request by web form

If you cannot access the app, use the request form on this page. Your request is recorded and reviewed by our support team, who can also be reached at support@kinderlynk.com. We will verify the email address or phone number registered on the account before we act.

What is deleted

When you delete your account in the app, your personal data is removed or anonymised immediately:

• your name, email address and phone number;
• your profile photo;
• device notification tokens;
• your identity as the author of messages (the messages themselves stay visible to the other participants in the conversation, shown as from "Deleted user").

What may be kept and why

• The school's records about students, such as attendance, homework, results, fees, health and day-care records. The school is the controller of these records and keeps them under its own policies and legal duties. To have them corrected or deleted, contact the school.
• Payment records (order id, payment id, amount, status), which we and the school must keep as required by tax and accounting law.
• Backups, which are not edited. They roll off and are removed within 90 days.

Bus location data is deleted automatically after 60 days. Live CCTV is not kept as a recording.

Timelines

Things to know

• Deletion cannot be undone. You would need the school to issue a new account to use KinderLynk again.
• Deleting your account does not delete your child's school records held by the school.
• We may ask for more information to confirm your identity.
